A warm and welcoming high-profile family is seeking an organised, confident, attentive, and child-focused live-in Nanny/Governess to care for their 6-year-old. The ideal candidate will be very experienced, sweet-natured, fun, and supportive, working closely with the parents and following their lead rather than taking an overly directive approach, but also helping out with advice where needed.
This is a live-in position, and the family is offering a private basement apartment for the right candidate. While standard hours apply, the role requires flexibility to accommodate the parents’ work schedules, occasional travel, and extra hours when the child is unwell or off school. The position also includes downtime during school hours during term time. The candidate must also be happy to travel for extended periods with the family if needed.

The family has two friendly cats, so a pet-friendly nanny is essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Providing nurturing and engaged care for the child
• School drop-offs and pick-ups (confident driving essential)
• Taking the child to extracurricular activities and appointments
• Assisting with homework and creative play
• Supporting bedtime routines and evening babysitting as required
• Managing the child’s daily schedule and household tasks related to them
• Packing for school trips, ensuring uniforms and essentials are prepared
• Accompanying the family on occasional work-related travel
• Keeping parents updated on any changes or concerns

Candidate Requirements
• Genuine love for childcare, with a warm, engaging personality
• Flexible and adaptable to accommodate the family’s varying schedule
• Energetic and fun, able to match the child’s enthusiasm and interests
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
• Proactive and intuitive, comfortable working alongside parents and taking direction
• Confident driver & swimmer
• DBS check issued within the last year or on the update service
• Valid Paediatric First Aid certification
• Pet-friendly and comfortable around cats

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM & 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM (flexibility required)
