A warm and dynamic family on the borders of Shepherds Bush and Chiswick is looking for a weekend nanny to provide engaging, structured, and supportive care for their children. The family has a full-time nanny Monday to Thursday but requires additional support for weekends and holidays when all five children are present.

The role will be focused primarily on the younger girls (G1.5 & G4.5), ensuring they are engaged, supported, and guided. The older boys (B10, B12, B15) are independent but may require occasional help with meals, homework support, and babysitting if the parents are out.

This is a long-term, flexible position, with a minimum commitment of three weekends per month, plus the possibility of additional work, including bank holidays and occasional Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide structured, engaging care for G1.5 & G4.5, ensuring stimulation and guidance

• Be assertive and confident in handling a strong-willed 4.5-year-old, encouraging positive behaviour

• Assist with homework, meal preparation, and babysitting for older children when needed

• Follow the parents’ weekend plan, being flexible with daily activities and responsibilities

• Help with household organisation when required

• Some pet care – The family has 3 cats and a dog, so someone pet-friendly is essential

• Travel with the family on occasion

The Ideal Candidate:

• Authoritative yet warm, able to guide and engage the children positively

• Active, hands-on, and a strong multitasker

• Respectful, fun, and with a great sense of humour

• Flexible and adaptable, comfortable looking after different children on different days

• Happy to commit to at least 3 weekends per month (option for 4 weekends)

• Local candidates preferred but not essential

• Freelance status required

Salary: £20 per hour (open to increase after probation completion). Minimum £1,200 per month (based on 3 weekends), option for 4 weekends

Hours: Saturday and Sunday three weekends per month (happy to pay four if needed) for 10 hours per day. 20 hours per weekend. Can be flexible with those hours.
