A welcoming family in Fulham is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and warm full-time live-in Nanny/Housekeeper to care for their 5-month-old baby. The role will initially be heavily focused on childcare, with a gradual transition to include more housekeeping duties as the baby grows and mum returns to work in October. Baby will then start nursery from January 2026. The family is looking for someone who will become a valued member of their household and who is also super pet friendly, as they have a gentle golden retriever.

Their current Housekeeper has been with them for seven years but is leaving to start a family. Ideally the new candidate will have a handover period with her. 

 

Responsibilities:

Childcare: 

o Providing all aspects of care for a 5-month-old baby, including feeding, changing, bathing, and settling.

o Creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for the baby’s development.

o Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities.

o Monitoring the baby’s development and reporting any concerns to the parents.

o Preparing meals for the baby.

o The family would like someone flexible to travel, including summer holidays and occasional weekends.

Housekeeping: 

o Assisting with general household tasks, with a gradual increase in responsibilities over time.

o Preparing family meals (simple, everyday cooking).

o Keeping the house tidy and organised.

o Laundry and ironing.

o Running errands as required.

 

Dog Care: 

o Being comfortable around a medium-sized Golden Retriever.

o Assisting with basic dog care, such as letting the dog out, ensuring it has water, etc. (Dog walking may or may not be required).

 

Requirements:

• Experience caring for babies.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

• Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one).

 

Hours:

• Approximately 10 hours per day/50 hours per week.

• The family is flexible with the schedule, particularly initially. An example is 8:00/8:30 am start.

• A 2-hour break during the day is possible and can be discussed.

• Less flexibility will be possible once the mother returns to work, with a need to leave the house by 8:15/8:30 am.

 

Accommodation:

The Nanny will have a private, large bedroom with a bathroom on the top floor of the house. The floor below is a wardrobe room, providing a good degree of privacy and separation from the rest of the house.

 

Start date: Ideally ASAP but flexible. 

Salary: Circa £40-45k gross annual
