Position Overview:
An Emirati/British family is seeking an exceptional, highly experienced and proactive Nanny/Governess to provide hands-on care alongside educational, developmental and pastoral support for their daughters, aged 2 and 4, within a fully staffed private household.
This is a blended role: the successful candidate will take full responsibility for the girls' day-to-day care and routines, while also actively shaping their education, development, and behaviour -- working closely with parents, school/nursery, nannies, and the wider household team.
The family is especially keen to hear from candidates with SEN training or substantial professional experience supporting children with additional learning, behavioural, sensory, attention or developmental needs.
The family travels regularly internationally, so candidates must be able to obtain the necessary visas at short notice and demonstrate a genuine, proven ability to travel flexibly and extensively.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on care & daily routine — full responsibility for daily care, including meals, dressing, bathing, naps/sleep routines, hygiene, and general wellbeing for both girls, working closely with the wider nanny team.
- Education & development — creating engaging, age-appropriate learning opportunities; encouraging curiosity, confidence and independence; selecting suitable books, resources and activities; monitoring and communicating progress to parents.
- SEN & behavioural support — using an SEN-informed approach to individual learning styles and needs (attention, sensory, emotional regulation, executive function); liaising with teachers/therapists and consistently implementing recommended strategies at home.
- School & nursery support — managing school/nursery routines and preparation, ensuring uniforms/bags/homework are organised, attending relevant meetings, and keeping parents informed.
- Play & outings — planning stimulating, age-appropriate play, activities and outings that support the girls' social, physical and emotional development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong swimmer
- Fluent/native-level English
- Significant professional experience as a Governess, SEN Governess, teacher, early-years educator, or highly educational nanny
- Experience with children aged approx. 2-5
- Strong grounding in early literacy, phonics, numeracy and school readiness
- Comfortable within a fully staffed UHNWI household
- Experience travelling internationally with private families
- Current paediatric First Aid/CPR certification
- Excellent references and background checks
