ABOUT THE FAMILY
A friendly, welcoming new mum is looking for some extra help with her 10-week old daughter, as her husband travels frequently for work — sometimes for several weeks at a time — which means she is regularly managing the household and their new baby daughter, largely on her own.

The family are looking for a reliable, warm and proactive individual who can be her right hand — someone who genuinely enjoys both caring for a young baby and keeping a home running smoothly. The right person will quickly become an essential and trusted part of the household, growing with the family and hopefully staying with them for a long time.

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who takes pride in what they do, brings positive energy to the home, and wants to be genuinely valued by the family they work for.

This is a combined Nanny/Housekeeper position — a hands-on, all-round role covering both baby care and household duties. Baby care will be more like mother’s help rather than sole charge, with just the odd occasion where mum may need to pop out and leave her. The balance between the two will flex naturally throughout the day according to baby’s routine and the household's needs.

Hours and days are flexible and the family is happy to discuss what works best for the right candidate. Salary is offered at £21–£25 per hour gross depending on experience.

Childcare Duties
• Help with care of baby — feeding, nappy changes, bathing and settling
• Learning and helping with her daily routine as she grows and develops
• Age-appropriate developmental activities, tummy time, sensory play and stimulation

Household Duties
• General housekeeping — tidying, laundry, ironing and keeping the home clean and organised
• Meal preparation and batch cooking for the family if needed
• Food shopping and household errands as needed
• Keeping baby's nursery and equipment clean, stocked and organised
• Proactively taking care of the small things that keep the household running smoothly — especially when dad is away

Ideal Candidate
The family is not looking for a specialist maternity nurse — baby will continue to grow and this role is intended to evolve with her. However, the right candidate must be completely comfortable and confident with a young baby from day one.

Essential
• Confident and calm with young babies — though specialist maternity experience is not required
• Warm, nurturing and genuinely enjoys working with children
• Happy to take on a range of household duties alongside childcare
• Proactive, reliable and uses initiative — particularly important when the family is operating solo
• Trustworthy and discreet, able to work comfortably in a family home
• Right to work in the UK
• Up-to-date DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete)
