MATERNITY NURSE- AF268 - Islington/Hackney

At a Glance:

- Start date — ideally 1 January, initially for one month with a view to extending.
- Schedule — 4-5 nights per week, either 7pm-7am or 8am-8pm shift pattern (to be confirmed). After the first month, likely reducing to around 3 nights per week for month two, reviewed from there.
- Setup — Live-out; space available downstairs if needed during shifts.
- Rate — £300-£350 per 24 hours.

About the Role:
A lovely, warm, first-time family based in Islington/Hackney is looking for a Night Nurse to support them through the early weeks with their first baby. This is a genuinely exciting first placement for the family, and they're looking for someone patient, caring and practical - confident supporting a first-time mother, particularly around breastfeeding handovers overnight.
The initial booking is for one month at 4-5 nights per week, with the arrangement expected to be reassessed and likely reduced to around 3 nights per week for a second month, and reviewed again from there depending on how the family is settling. A retainer or financial agreement can be made in advance to hold the MN’s time after that one month period, whilst a schedule is decided on.

Candidate Requirements:
- Patient, caring and practical, with a calm and reassuring manner
- Confident supporting a first-time mother, including breastfeeding handovers overnight
- Open-minded on experience level, though references will be required
- Personality and fit are key for this family - comfortable meeting a shortlist of candidates before deciding
- Comfortable in a home with one dog
