ABOUT THE FAMILY:
This is a warm, relaxed and down-to-earth family based in Kensal Rise, just a short walk from Queens Park. They have two energetic and fun boys aged 5 and 6, and are looking for a live-in nanny to become a valued and settled member of their household.

The family has had the same live-in nanny for three and a half years, which speaks volumes about the kind of household this is – stable, appreciative and kind. They are looking for someone who will bring that same sense of warmth and continuity to their boys.

Both parents are around in the mornings and evenings. Mum works in the office two days a week, meaning the nanny will have sole charge of the boys on those days. The family want someone who fits naturally into their home rather than someone overly formal.

THE ROLE:
Morning Routine:
• On duty from 7:30am – helping with the boys’ morning routine alongside parents
• School drop-off at 8:15am – a confident driver is essential, the journey is approximately 15 minutes

During the School Day:
• Natural down time on return from the school run
• Children’s laundry – washing, drying and putting away
• Tidying the boys’ bedrooms and play areas (light tidying, not deep cleaning)
• School administration – managing emails and communications
• Preparing after-school snacks/dinner and activities

After School:
• School pick-ups at 3:00pm and 3:15pm
• Managing after-school clubs and activities
• Sole charge of the boys on days when mum is in the office
• Hands-on, active and fun play with both boys – this is an energetic role
• Supper, bath time and evening routine through to 7:30pm

ACCOMMODATION:
The nanny will have their own private space on the top floor of the family home – a converted loft with an en-suite bathroom. This is a genuinely comfortable and separate retreat, giving the nanny their own space to switch off completely on days off.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The family is looking for someone warm, fun and energetic – someone who genuinely loves being around children and will throw themselves into life with two lively boys. They are looking for someone confident, settled and ready to commit to a live-in role for the long term.

Essential:
• Confident, experienced driver with a full clean UK licence – the school run cannot be done without a car
• Fully comfortable and enthusiastic about living in with a family
• Energetic and playful – able to keep up with two active boys
• Reliable and proactive – happy to manage home tasks and school admin during the day
• Confident with sole charge on days parents are out
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete)

Desirable:
• Previous live-in nanny experience
• Comfortable and experienced with school-age children
• Settled in London and genuinely looking for a long-term role – the family values stability
• A relaxed, easy-going personality who fits naturally into a chilled family home

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This is a four-days-on, three-days-off role, giving the successful candidate a generous amount of personal time each week. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are free.

The family’s priority is finding the right person for the long term – someone who is genuinely excited about a live-in lifestyle and sees this as a proper home rather than a temporary stop. The accommodation is private and comfortable, and the family are warm, easy-going and very appreciative of the people who work with them.
